Hruboskalsko is a rocky wonderland in the north-west of the Czech Republic, a place of towering cliffs, dark forests and rushing rivers. The area is known for its hiking and biking trails, as well as its abundance of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, caving and kayaking. The highlight for many visitors is the Šumava National Park, a vast and unspoilt wilderness area that’s home to deer, boar and wolves. For a more relaxed experience, take a stroll along the banks of the Lipno Dam or stop off at one of the many restaurants and pubs in the area.
