Fürstenfeldbruck is a small town in Bavaria, Germany, situated on the Amper River, 25 km (16 mi) west of Munich. It is the seat of the Fürstenfeldbruck district.
The town was first mentioned in a document in 805 as "Villa Froistinveld". In 1156, it was mentioned as "Furstinvelt". The name means "estate of the princes".
The town is located on the former Roman road from Salzburg to Augsburg.
The historic center of the town was destroyed in a fire in 1944.
Fürstenfeldbruck is the home of the German Army's air assault school, the Heeresfliegerwaffenschule.
