Hof is a small city in the Franconian region of Bavaria, Germany. It is best known as the home of the Hofbräuhaus, a brewery and beer hall that was founded in 1589. The brewery is now operated by the Bavarian state government and is open to the public for tours and beer tastings. Hof is also home to the Schloss Thurn und Taxis, a palace that was built in the 17th century and is now open to the public as a museum.
