Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is a remote and wild corner of Finland, home to pristine forests, soaring peaks and icy lakes. The park is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers, with trails that wind through the forests and up into the peaks. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting, with bears, wolves and elk all common in the park. The park is also home to the Sami people, an indigenous people who have lived in the area for centuries. Visitors can learn about their culture and traditions at the Sami Museum, or explore their traditional way of life by staying in a Sami reindeer farm.
