Saint-Gaudens is a sleepy village in the French Pyrenees, but it’s worth a visit for its world-famous sculpture garden. Created by American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens in the late 19th century, the garden features dozens of lifelike bronze and marble statues, set in a naturalistic landscape. Saint-Gaudens himself is buried in the garden, and his workshop is now a museum. The village is also home to a beautiful 12th-century abbey, and there are some great hiking trails in the surrounding mountains.
