You'll find the high-end La Vallée Village outlet center with its French-style shopping streets, the grand Val d'Europe shopping mall with its 19th-century inspired architecture, and easy access to landmarks like the 18th-century Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne. The town's position in Seine-et-Marne makes it an ideal base for exploring both the theme park and surrounding region.

Getting to Serris

You can reach Serris, 32 kilometers east of Paris, by taking the RER A train from central Paris - the journey takes about 40 minutes. If you're driving, the A4 motorway connects the town to Paris, and you can reach Charles de Gaulle Airport in 30 minutes by car.

Shopping at La Vallée Village

La Vallée Village houses more than 110 designer outlet stores along pedestrian streets designed to look like a traditional French village. You'll find international fashion and accessory boutiques selling items at 30-60% below regular retail prices. The streets are easy to navigate, with clear signage and plenty of spots to rest between shops.

Educational Life

Four primary school groups serve Serris's families. Students attend Collège Madeleine Renaud (opened 2005) for middle school and Lycée Émilie du Châtelet (opened 2010) for high school. The University of Marne-la-Vallée adds a student population of 1,300 to the town, creating an active academic atmosphere.

Day Trips from Serris

Take a 14-kilometer trip to Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne to explore its 18th-century rooms and walk through gardens with precise geometric patterns and fountains. In Meaux, 15 kilometers away, you can visit the medieval cathedral and walk through the former episcopal quarter to see well-preserved religious buildings from the Middle Ages.

Val d'Europe Shopping Center

The 100,000-square-meter Val d'Europe mall contains more than 190 stores beneath a glass-covered central walkway inspired by 19th-century Parisian architecture. Inside, you'll find a hypermarket, fashion stores, electronics shops, and a food court with 30 restaurants. The mall's layout makes it easy to navigate between different shopping areas.
