Tucked away in the rolling hills of southern Sardinia, Settimo San Pietro is a hidden gem of a town. With a population of just over 5,000, the town is home to a tight-knit community of locals who take great pride in their traditions and history. The main square is a typical example of a small Italian town, with a church at one end and a fountain in the centre. Surrounding the square are a number of small shops and restaurants, as well as a couple of bars. Just a few minutes' walk from the square is the old part of town, where you'll find narrow streets and a number of ancient buildings, including the town hall and the ruins of a castle. There's also a small museum in the town which is worth a visit. Settimo San Pietro is a great place to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of Italian life.
