Tokyoites looking for a break from the big city bustle often head to Nakano, a district in the west of the metropolis. Though not as well known as some of the other city districts, Nakano is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. It’s home to a lively shopping district, with a mix of small, independent stores and large chain outlets, as well as a lively nightlife scene. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, as well as a few parks and gardens, making it a great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
