Jūrmala is pretty great. I really like these old health resorts in Northern Europe and Jūrmala did not disappoint. It is a quick train ride from Riga, which is a terrific city, so I can definitely see myself coming back for another city and beach combo in the future.

The beach was very very nice and I enjoyed how strictly they had divided it into a fun active part, and a calm relaxing part with clear signs. That was a first for me :)

The food and drinks were great, and there were some beautiful old wooden houses both on the beach and in town. After my visit, I found out that there are some great forests as well, so now I kind of want to go back in the off-season to walk the beach and hike in the forests.
