Kalisz

Kalisz is a city in central Poland, on the Prosna River. It’s known for its textile and furniture industries. The Gothic Cathedral of St.

John the Baptist, dating to the 13th century, has a Renaissance facade and a Baroque interior. The adjacent Archdiocesan Museum displays art and religious artifacts. The city’s Market Square is surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque townhouses. To the north is the Palace of the Dukes of Kalisz, a Renaissance-era complex with a park.
