Åre is a winter wonderland, offering the perfect opportunity for a magical holiday. The last years Åre has become more of a all year around destination with many visitors in summer time. In the summer there is mostly visiting for hiking and biking. Blessed with some of the best skiing in Sweden, Åre has a wide variety of slopes to choose from, from easy beginner runs to challenging black diamond trails. The ski season runs from December to April, so you can take advantage of the snow for as long as you like. The hike and bike season starts from June/July untill end of September. Make sure you check out the Åreskutan Mountain, the highest peak in the region, for stunning views of the surrounding landscape. After a long day of skiing or biking, relax in the cozy cafés, pubs, and restaurants in the town center. Åre is the perfect destination for an unforgettable Swedish getaway.
