Sweden
Sweden is located in Northern Europe. It borders Norway to the west and Finland to the east, and is connected to Denmark in the southwest by a bridge-tunnel across the Öresund. Sweden is a very safe, innovative and welcoming country where the people are friendly and the crime rate is low.
The main reasons to visit Sweden are to see the stunning natural scenery of the Swedish countryside and visit cosmopolitan cities like Stockholm and Gothenburg. In the far north of Sweden, the midnight sun shines during summer and the northern lights paint the winter sky. Between these extremes, there are huge forests, beautiful lakes and rolling hills. A great place to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and skiing.
Swedish cuisine is based on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and is renowned for its simplicity. Some of the most popular dishes include Swedish meatballs, gravlax (cured salmon), and Smörgåsbord (a buffet of hot and cold dishes).
