City in 🇸🇪 Sweden with a population of around 84 thousand people.

Jönköping is a small city in southern Sweden that’s home to a big university and an even bigger lake. The city centre is small and easy to walk around, with a pedestrianised main street, a lively market square and a pretty canal. The lake is a big draw for visitors in summer, with beaches, swimming areas and boat hire, and there are plenty of parks and green spaces for walks and picnics. Jönköping is also a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, with forests, lakes and rolling hills all within easy reach. History buffs will enjoy visits to the old town of Växjö and the Gripsholm Castle, and shoppers will love the designer boutiques in nearby Göteborg.
