The town has a few small shops and restaurants, but the main attraction is the natural surroundings. Hagfors is a very small village in the middle of Värmland. My family on my father's side is from Hagfors so we used to spend every other Christmas and many summer days there.
I don't really feel that the village has much to offer someone visiting as there isn't really anything to see or do, and the food is pretty awful. BUT, the surrounding forests and lakes are pretty great. So go here and enjoy nature somehow. During the winter it could be cross-country skiing, during the summer hiking, or biking.
