Eisenhüttenstadt is a city in the Bundesland of Brandenburg, Germany. It is located on the Oder River, about 70 km east of Berlin. Eisenhüttenstadt was founded in 1950 as the first city in the Soviet Zone of Occupation in Germany. It was built as a "socialist model city".
