Riesa is a small city in the eastern German state of Saxony. It’s best known as the home of the Riesa Energie AG, a large energy company. The city is located on the banks of the Elbe River and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts. The historic city center is home to a number of churches and other historical buildings, including the Riesa Rathaus (city hall) and the Riesa Schloss (Riesa Castle).
