Lahti is a city in southern Finland, approximately 100 kilometres north of Helsinki. It is the capital of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The population of Lahti is 122,000.
Lahti is known for its ice hockey team, Jokerit, which plays in the Kontinental Hockey League. The Olympic Stadium, designed by Alvar Aalto, is located in Lahti. It hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics.
