Andros is the northernmost island in the Cyclades, and it’s also the largest. It’s a rugged, mountainous island with some lovely beaches, and it’s a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. The main town, Chora, is a picturesque whitewashed town with narrow streets and a Venetian castle. There are also a few lovely villages on the island, including Gavrio, the port town, and Batsi, a pretty resort town. Andros is a great place to relax and get away from the crowds.
