You'll find a livestock section and a covered area for rainy days.
Cultural Spaces
The Mini Gallery at 27 Ady Endre Street exhibits paintings and sculptures by regional artists, with new exhibitions each month. At the Fonyód Villa Gallery, you'll see contemporary Hungarian paintings and photography. The Crypt-villa, built in 1906, includes a memorial chapel and living quarters, and welcomes visitors daily except Mondays. In summer, local theatre groups and musicians perform in the main square every Thursday evening.
Beyond Fonyód
Walk the marked hiking path from Fő street through Nagyberek's wetlands to reach Csisztapuszta's thermal baths, where you can swim in calcium and magnesium-rich waters. The narrow-gauge railway runs every two hours between Csisztapuszta and Balatonfenyves, stopping at designated bird-watching points. In Buzsák, 9 kilometers away, you can watch artisans demonstrate embroidery techniques at local workshops.
Getting Around
Trains connect Budapest-Déli station and Fonyód every two hours, with the journey taking about 2.5 hours. In summer, boats leave from Fonyód's port to Badacsony and Szigliget on the northern shore throughout the day. A local bus connects the railway station, beach areas, and market.
