Hungary
Hungary is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. With seven different countries as neighbours, Hungary has a diverse range of cultures and landscapes. The official language is Hungarian, which is the most widely spoken non-Indo-European language in Europe.
The capital city of Budapest is a must-see with its stunning architecture such as the neo-Gothic Parliament building, amazing food, and rich history. Hungary is also home to the largest thermal water system in the world, making it a popular destination for spa-goers. The country's landscape is varied, with everything from the Carpathian Mountains to the Great Plains with its traditional Hungarian cowboy culture.
The food in Hungary is also a must-try. The national dish is goulash, a hearty stew made with beef, vegetables, and paprika. Other popular dishes include chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage rolls, and Hungarian pancakes. And of course, no meal is complete without a glass of Hungary’s famous Tokaji wine.
