Castiglione della Pescaia is a small town on the Tyrrhenian Sea in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. It is a fishing town and a popular tourist destination. The town is a member of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy association.
Castiglione della Pescaia is located in the Maremma area of southern Tuscany. It is bordered by the communes of Gavorrano, Roccastrada, and Grosseto. The town is about 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the provincial capital of Grosseto, and about 100 kilometres (62 mi) from the city of Florence.
The Tyrrhenian Sea coast around Castiglione della Pescaia is noted for its wide, sandy beaches and for the clarity of the water. The town is a popular destination for Italian and foreign tourists, especially in the summer months.
