Formigine is a small town located in the north-west of the province of Modena, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The town is situated on the banks of the Secchia River, between the provinces of Bologna and Modena.

Formigine is a very old town, mentioned for the first time in a document of the year 774. The town is known for its leather industry. The town is also home to the Ferrari factory, where the sports cars are made.
