Tucked away in the vineyards of Tuscany, Suvereto is a charming little town that’s often overlooked by tourists. But with its well-preserved medieval centre, lovely piazzas and panoramic views, it’s well worth a visit. The narrow streets are lined with pastel-coloured houses, and the town’s churches and monuments are a mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles. There are plenty of restaurants and wine bars, and in the summer the town comes alive with music and street festivals. Suvereto is also a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, with its rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards.
