Terracina is a town in the province of Latina, in the Lazio region of central Italy. It is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 50 km south of Rome. The town was founded by the ancient Romans in the 7th century BC. It was the birthplace of the Roman poet Horace. The town is a popular tourist destination, with many beaches and seaside resorts. The town is also home to the ruins of the ancient Roman town of Minturnae.
