Ichinomiya is a small town in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan. It is most famous for its shrine, Ichinomiya Shrine, which is the first shrine in Japan to be dedicated to the worship of Amaterasu, the sun goddess. The shrine is also home to a number of other important cultural treasures, including a pair of sacred swords and a sacred mirror. Ichinomiya is also known for its annual festival, the Ichinomiya Matsuri, which is held every September. The festival is one of the largest and most important in the region, and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.
