Kawaguchi is a small city located in the central area of Japan’s main island, Honshu. The city is best known for its close proximity to Mount Fuji, which can be seen from many points in the city. Kawaguchi is also home to a large number of cherry blossom trees, which attract visitors during the springtime. The city is a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Fuji Five Lakes region.
