Elazığ

Elazığ is a city in eastern Turkey and the capital of Elazığ Province. It is located at the confluence of the Euphrates and Karasu rivers. The city has a population of 479,119 (2010 census). Elazığ was formerly known as Arghana, and during the Ottoman Empire era as Harput.
