Ephesus was once one of the largest cities in the world and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another popular ancient site is the city of Troy. Troy was made famous by the Homeric epic poem, The Iliad.

The food in Turkey is some of the best in the world. Turkish cuisine is a mix of Central Asian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean influences. Some popular Turkish dishes include kebabs, Turkish delight, baklava, and kofte. Turkey is also famous for its black tea and Turkish coffee.
