Bad Doberan is a small town in the north-east of Germany, located in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is best known for its medieval monastery, Schloss Doberan, and the world’s only surviving working railway steam locomotive, the Schwarze Maria. Bad Doberan is a popular tourist destination, thanks to its location on the Baltic Sea coast and its many historical attractions.
