Ratzeburg

Ratzeburg is a small town in the north of Germany, close to the border with Denmark. It's best known for its beautiful, well-preserved medieval centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is also a popular tourist destination for cyclists, as it's located on the banks of the river Elbe and is surrounded by forests and nature reserves. In the summer, the town comes to life with a series of open-air concerts and festivals, including the Ratzeburg Lake Festival, which is held every year in July.
