Nacka is a fast growing suburb of Stockholm, known for its natural beauty and the fantastic location close to both Stockholm and the archipalago. With its idyllic location by the water, surrounded by forest and parkland, Nacka has become a popular place to live, work and visit. The area is home to many scenic spots as for example Nyckelviken, Hellasgården and Saltsjöbaden, all well worth a visit. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, from swimming and sailing in the archipelago to hiking and cycling in the surrounding forests. With its perfect location and easy-going atmosphere, Nacka is a great place to enjoy life.

Im both born and raised in the municipality of Nacka. The central part of Nacka has the perfect location just 10-15 minutes from the city center of Stockholm, at the same time your almost in the archipelago. You are always close to water and nature in Nacka. Here are some of my bucket list places in Nacka for visitors:

Nyckelviken is a nature reserve with a beautiful garden, lots of animals for kids to watch and the perfect spot by the sea. From the Mountain top you have one of the most scenic views of Stockholm.

Hellasgården is another nature reserve. You should go here for hiking, biking and swimming in the summer. And for cross country skiing and ice bathing in the winter.

Nacka Strand might not be the most interesting place in Nacka but the docks area with a restaurant on the wharf and boats leaving for city center of Stockholm all day makes it a perfect day trip.

Saltsjöbaden is one of Swedens most exclusive places to live, as a visitor I would recommend a swim from the cold bath house and maybe a stay at the Grand hotell Saltsjöbaden if you afford.
