Rastatt

Rastatt is a sleepy town on the banks of the River Rhine in Germany, best known for its magnificent Baroque palace. The palace was built in the 18th century as a summer residence for the Margrave of Baden, and is now a Unesco World Heritage Site. It’s open to the public, and well worth a visit for its beautiful Rococo interiors and stunning gardens. The town itself is charming, with a lovely old centre full of crooked streets and half-timbered houses. There are a few good restaurants and bars, and Rastatt makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Black Forest and the vineyards of the Rhine Valley.

Average temperatures during the day in Rastatt.
