Tarnów

Tarnów is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in southern Poland. It is situated on the Vistula River, in the Lesser Poland region, and is the capital of the Tarnów Voivodeship. The city has a population of about 150,000 and is home to a number of universities, including the Medical University of Lublin and the Agricultural University of Lublin. The city is known for its many churches and monuments, including the Gothic Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Renaissance City Hall, and the historic Jewish quarter. Tarnów is also a popular tourist destination, with its many old churches, museums, and other sites.
