Żagań

Żagań is a small town in western Poland, near the German border. It’s best known for its impressive Gothic castle, which has been in the hands of the same family for over 700 years. The castle is open to the public and is well worth a visit, especially for history buffs. Żagań is also home to a number of other interesting historical buildings, including a 13th-century Romanesque church. There are a few restaurants and pubs in the town centre, and a small market on Saturdays. Żagań is a great place to relax and take in some history, and it’s also a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.
