Abisko is a small village in the far north of Sweden, inside the Arctic Circle. It’s a popular base for exploring the nearby Lapporten mountain range and the Abisko National Park, both of which are studded with glaciers, waterfalls and pristine forests. The village is also located on the Kungsleden, a famous hiking trail that leads all the way to the North Pole. Abisko is a great place to experience the midnight sun in summer and the Northern Lights in winter, when the sky is often clear and dark enough for the Aurora Borealis to be visible.
