Culver City is a neighborhood in the Westside of the City of Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1913 by Harry Culver, a real estate developer who named it for himself. The city was a center for motion picture and later television production, and is now home to Sony Pictures Entertainment and other major media and entertainment companies. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 38,883.
