Alicante is a city on the Costa Blanca in southeastern Spain. It is the capital of the province of Alicante and of the autonomous community of Valencia. It is also the southernmost large city in Spain. Alicante is a busy port city with a modern infrastructure, lively nightlife, and an extensive range of shops and restaurants. The city is also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Alhambra.
