Cascais

Cascais is a charming town on the outskirts of Lisbon that’s well worth a visit. It’s a popular spot for Portuguese holidaymakers and there’s a great mix of locals and visitors in the bars and restaurants. The town’s pretty pastel-coloured houses sit on a rocky headland that stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean and there are some lovely walks to be had in the hills behind the town. Cascais is also a great place to watch the sun set over the ocean – head to the Boca do Inferno (Mouth of Hell) for some of the best views.

Average temperatures during the day in Cascais.
