Mikulov is a small town in the south of the Czech Republic, close to the Austrian border. It is a popular tourist destination, thanks to its beautiful Renaissance architecture, its wine-making tradition and its location in the picturesque Pálava Hills. The town is home to a number of interesting museums, including the Mikulov Chateau Museum, the Mikulov Wine Museum and the Mikulov Jewish Museum. There are also a number of excellent restaurants in Mikulov, serving traditional Czech cuisine as well as international dishes. The town is surrounded by vineyards, and there are a number of wine cellars where you can sample the local produce.
