Heidenheim an der Brenz

Heidenheim an der Brenz is a small town in southern Germany with a population of just over 40,000. It is located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, about 60 kilometers south of Nuremberg. Heidenheim is home to the Heidenheim Heidecksburg, a castle that has been in the same family for over 900 years. The castle is open to the public and features a number of historical exhibits. Heidenheim also has a well-preserved old town center with a number of shops and restaurants. The town is located on the edge of the Swabian Jura, a hilly region that is popular with hikers and cyclists.
